Entertainment Report
Issue #5
10/12-24/12
Welcome to this week's entertainment report. With the debate and all things political going on, it's actually been a bit of a slow week. But that being said there is still alot in this issue to get into. So without further ado, let's get started...

Wrestling Predictions
What a strange time of the year to have six weeks between PPVs. I'm all for long breaks between PPVs, maybe even less PPVs in general, but there's a difference between six weeks of setup for say the Royal Rumble than for Hell in a Cell. This is an odd card, definitely different from the norm. That being said let's get into the card...
Believe it or not I have no idea how this match is going to work. If it was a normal one on one match than it's easy, Ryback would win by DQ but there's no DQs in the cell. I'm tempted to say no contest here but I will play it safe...
Winner and still WWE Champion: CM Punk
I figured this match would make sense in the cell with the story they've been telling. But of now it's not. So it's a one on one match. I want to say Sheamus but story wise I see this instead...
Winner and new World Heavyweight Champion: The Big Show
Then Sheamus will hit the Brogue Kick out of aggravation and then Dolph Ziggler will cash in Money in the Bank.
Winner and new World Heavyweight Champion: Dolph Ziggler
Predictable yes. But it would be awesome!
This match was simple written all over it. People should take notes. Miz gets under Kofi's skin, brings out the best in Kofi, Kofi beats Miz for the title, Miz challenges Kofi to a rematch. Simple yet extremely effective. My pick is even more simple...
Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Kofi Kingston
There's not much to say about this match except if you haven't seen Del Rio making fun of Orton, check it out on WWE's YouTube page. It's by far the funniest thing Del Rio ever did. Nothing else about this feud means anything to me but the match should be good...
Winner: Randy Orton
Did we really need a tournament to get to the obvious matchup? Sure it was fun and killed TV time with good matches, but this has been the real rivalry going on in the tag division right now. That being said, this is a good matchup. Honestly unless they really throw a wrench in and decide to have Bryan/Kane at Survivor Series the match should go...
Winners and still the tag team champions: Team Hell No
WWE Diva's Championship
Eve (c) vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn
The only real storyline in a long time leads us here. Honestly I'm not expecting much here, it's too soon for a title change, even though Kaitlyn deserves it.
Winner and still Divas Champion: Eve
That's the show, it looks alright on paper. Just like a said a strange PPV at this time of the year.

Call Me Maybe (Judge's Score:29.5)
For me this was one of the best group performances ever. It was well put together, smooth and just enjoyable to watch. I don't quite understand how this didn't get a 30.
Gangnam Style (Judge's Score:27)
Two words to explain that. Hysterical clusterfuck. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Was it a great dance number? Not even close. This didn't deserve a 30 but it will remain on everyone's minds for years to come.
Episode: My Big Fat Geek Wedding
Before I get into the meat of the show, thank you Mike, Ming and Walt for teaching us that cigar smoke will indeed destroy your comic book collection.
Now as for this show itself, it can be summarized simply. There was an auction, Walt & Bryan made a bet with Mike & Ming that whichever duo got more valuable stuff won and the loser had to reenact the wedding of Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl from Fantastic Four Annual #3. Well Walt & Bry won.
This led to a hilarious wedding scene, with Ming in drag, completed with vows, written by Bry, and even drove off in a Just Married car down the streets of Red Bank. Honestly I didn't expect that to be as entertaining and funny as it was.
Sports News
Hours after the last issue posted, the NHL announced the cancellation of games through November 1st. While this is bad news, I'm not going to hit the panic button yet. The reason is the fact that Bettman said that if an agreement is made that the season would start November 2nd. So until we get to that point, I'm going to stay calm.
10/19: Charlotte at Milwaukee
Opening night at the BMO Bradley Center didn't go as planned or expected for the 5,572 fans in attendance. The Checkers took a 4-1 lead at the beginning of the third, and despite a valiant comeback effort by the Ads, won 4-3. The Checkers' Zack Bozchuk was chosen as first star after scoring the game winner.
10/20: Milwaukee at San Antonio
Despite out shooting the Rampage 25-19, the Ads lost the game 1-0. Dov Grument-Morris recorded the shutout.10/21/12:Milwaukee at Houston
Figured this would have been the worst game of the weekend, boy was I wrong. The Ads snapped their losing streak with on extremely exciting overtime win. Going into the 3rd, the Ads and Aeros were tied at 2, that quickly changed halfway through the period. Jonas Brodin broke the tie for Houston at 10:28. 57 seconds later, Chris Mueller tied it up and then Kevin Henderson broke the tie for the Ads 54 seconds later. But it wasn't over yet because Houston's Nick Palmieri tied the game again with 58 seconds left on the clock. Just before the end of regulation, the Aero's Chad Raw took a delay of game penalty for covering the puck with his hand that gave the Ads a power play going into the overtime. They quickly took full advantage as Mattias Ekholm scored just 51 seconds in to give the Ads the much needed wild win.
10/24/12:Milwaukee at Texas
Another rough night for the Ads against the Stars. Jamie Oleksiak scored halfway through the third to give Texas a 2-0 lead and they held on to win, despite a late Mark Van Guilder goal, 3-1.
After a busy week, the Ads have two games on tap for the next week. They are heading back to Houston on Saturday and then return home on Halloween night to play Charlotte.
CD Review
This album is following all the mainstream attention he gained with Dirt Road Anthem and his duet with Kelly Clarkson, Don't You Wanna Stay. The one thing I appreciate is that he seemed like he took a page out of Brad Paisley's book when it comes to rhythm and storytelling, and that's high praise. My only issue is that it's almost too slow at times. I was expecting more fast paced songs. That being said, there are a number of songs that will be on the radio and if done right, The Only Way I Know, could be a massive hit.
Favorite Song: The Only Way I Know (with Eric Church & Luke Bryan)
Grade: B

Quick Hits
- On Friday the news broke that Justin Timberlake & Jessica Beal got married. That news upset alot if men and women throughout the world, straight and gay.
- Congrats to Adele on the birth of her baby boy.
- American Idol winner Phillip Phillip's hit single Home was certified double platinum on Wednesday. It is the first Idol coronation song to do so. I figured after being used for the Olympics the song would take off but this is bigger than anyone expected.
- So not only does Mark Sanchez's football team suck, Eva Longoria and him broke up this week. There was no other reason to report that other than I just wanted to abuse the Jets.

I listen to alot of wrestling shows during the week and they are all similar when it comes to topics. But this show stands out for three reasons. #1, Travis and Dre are really funny and don't pull any punches no matter what the topic of conversation is and who they are talking to or about. #2, it's not PG show at all. This is very explicit and no one hides that. You get what you get and there's no other way to put it. #3, it averages from 2 1/2-3 hours every week. The cool thing is that if it doesn't feel like it, it flows fast and it's very easy to get through.
Well that's it. A few quick notes before I wrap up. First of all, check out my Week 8 NFL Picks, I had a phenomenal week last week. #2, I am now an admin on the Facebook group The NHL Ultimate, so if you are a hockey fan on any level, jump on over and like the page. Finally, I run a WWE PPV Predications group on FB, so if you want to make picks with some cool people, come on over and join the group.
Next week I will be covering WWE Hell in a Cell, DWTS and there will be picks for the CMA Awards. All that plus more, till then thank you for reading.
