Entertainment Report Issue #27a (NCAA Tournament, Celebrity Apprentice, Comic Book Men, Devils, Admirals and more!)

"If you ain't here to party, you picked the wrong place. You picked the wrong Friday night. If you ain't here to party, you'll be mission  out on the best damn time of your life. So go on and throw your card down, knock a shot out and get yourself in the zone. Yeah, you might as well go on and head your ass back home if you ain't here to party."-Luke Bryan

Welcome to a special two part Entertainment Report, part of a very busy week around here.

In these two issues we have full coverage of Wrestlemania weekend, check ins with the NCAA Final and Frozen Four plus all our normal television and sports reports.

On top of all that, tomorrow night I'm getting together with our staff and recording four podcasts back to back covering Wrestlemania, the ACMs and much more. So look out for those.

Let's get on with the show, there's a lot to get to...

Initial Brackets
Joe
Elite 8: 6 teams left
Final Four: 1 team left (Louisville)

Blake
Elite 8: 3 teams left
Final Four: 1 team left (Syracuse)

Neither have their National Champion left.

Final Four Predications
Joe
Louisville over Wichita St.
Syracuse over Michigan

National Championship Game: Louisville over Syracuse

Blake
Louisville over Wichita St.
Michigan over Syracuse

National Championship Game: Michigan over Louisville

In this weeks' show, the teams had to sell homemade artwork in a fundraising task.

Guest Judge: Piers Morgan

Team Change: Trace Adkins got moved to Plan B

Team Plan B Project Manager: Lisa Rinna

Despite Gary not bringing any money and Stephen only bringing in 5k, the team simply raised more money.

Winnings: $404,500 ($225,000-Plan B, $179,500-Power)

Team Power Project Manager: Lil Jon

Simply put they didn't raise enough money. Lil Jon made it clear from the beginning that the two who raises the least would be coming to the boardroom.

Brought Back to the Boardroom: Lil Jon, Omarosa, Dennis Rodman
Fired: Omarosa

Finally! It took three tries but the bitch is finally gone!

Gary Busey Line of the Week:

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Art is only the search! It's not the final form!" (sung)

Episode: Comic Charades

Outside of a very funny game of comic book charades, it was another low key episode. The major items talked about was a 2007 reissue of the 1984 Transformers Megatron, the store's copy if Detective Comics #359 which has the first appearance of Batgirl, a 1967 Aurora model kit is the Bride of Frankenstein and finally a reissue of 1960s model kits for Creature from the Black Lagoon, Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster and Wolfman. The really cool item in my opinion was a pencil sketch of Nomar from 1975 signed by the great George Perez.

Teddy Purcell and Victor Hedman scored in the shootout to complete the comeback.

3/30/13-New Jersey at Florida

The Devils just can't hold on to a lead. Steve Bernier scored two goals and it looked like the Devils would go on to win. • Cory Monteith has decided to voluntarily admit himself into a treatment facility for substance addiction. Honestly I give him a lot of credit for realizing he has a problem again before it gets out of hand.
  • Barbara Walters announced that she is retiring in May 2014. At 83 years old, she has accomplished everything you can ask for.

Entertainment Report Issue #27b (Wrestlemania, Supercard of Honor,Wrestlecon and more!)

Welcome to a special two part Entertainment Report, part of a very busy week around here.

In these two issues we have full coverage of Wrestlemania weekend, picks for the ACM Awards, check ins with the NCAA Final and Frozen Four plus all our normal television and sports reports.

On top of all that, tomorrow night I'm getting together with our staff and recording four podcasts back to back covering Wrestlemania, the ACMs and much more. So look out for those.

Let's get on with the show, there's a lot to get to...

  • Reid Flair, 25 year old son of legend Ric Flair, shockingly passed away on Friday morning. He was found unresponsive in his hotel room. Honestly I really feel for his dad and family mainly because he was way too young.
  • Charlie Hass shocked the ROH crowd in Asheville, NC and all wrestling fans when he announced his retirement before his match against Jeff Louis Neal. He was visibly drunk and crying the match. This came out of no where as he was scheduled to face Shelton Benjamin at Supercard of Honor VII.
  • Trish Stratus has announced that Stephanie McMahon will induct her into the WWE Hall of Fame.

WWE Championship
The Rock (c) vs. John Cena

Twice in a lifetime indeed. The real question is will John Cena turn heel in the match? For the first time in ten years I'm not sure. I can't see it. I will say for me this is oddly the easiest match for me to call that doesn't have Undertaker in it...

Winner and NEW WWE Champion: John Cena

World Heavyweight Championship
Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Jack Swagger

What happened to this feud? It was red hot. It was uncomfortable and getting mainstream press. Not it's all but forgotten and it was turned into Del Rio defending the honor of Ricardo Rodriguez. So here's what I see. Swagger is going to have the Patriot Lock on for a long time. Despite all the pain, Del Rio will counter and roll him up for the pin...

Winner and still World Heavyweight Champion: Alberto Del Rio

Then Swagger will roll out of the ring pissed, grabs a chair and will destroy Del Rio with it and then hit the Patriot Lock again. After he lets go of the hold, Dolph Ziggler's music will hit to cash in Money in the Bank.

World Heavyweight Championship
Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Del Rio will start to get up and hit the Zig Zag and a pinfall...

Winner and NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Dolph Ziggler

The Undertaker vs. CM Punk

Do I really have to go into detail here? This will be a good match but the streak will never end.

Winner: Undertaker
No Holds Barred
Career Threatening Match
Triple H (with Shawn Micheals) vs. Brock Lesnar

Well there's this match up. This should be a brutal war, that doesn't mean good though. I see this as the chance for Lesnar to go over again and Hunter will go back to the office full time.

Winner: Brock Lesnar

The Shield vs. Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show

I can't wait to see this match. It should be red hot and great. The question is will anyone turn on their team? Honesty I think it'll be better for The Shield if they do it without help so that where I'm going.

Winners: The Shield

Ryback vs. Mark Henry

This match could be great. Will it be a technical classic? Hell no! But it will be two big men who know their characters beating the crap out of each other. It seems obvious to me who will win here.

Winner: Ryback

WWE World Tag Team Championship
Team Hell No (Daniel Byran and Kane) (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston (with AJ)

It is so fitting to have this match mainly based on the AJ story for the last year. For someone who rarely wrestles she has become a huge star. Without her we wouldn't have Team Hell No or Big E Langston. That being said I don't see Hell No dropping the belts here after the last year.

Winners and still WWE World Tag Team Champions: Team Hell No

Chris Jericho vs. Fandago

I could rant and rave about this match but I'll save that for audio. For now I'll just say this is real drop for Y2J.

Winner: Fandago

Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay & Sweet T) and the Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow) and the Bella Twins

So this is why The Bellas came back? Is anyone expecting a long match here? I see alot of dancing and splits. No much else.

Winners: Tons of Funk and the Funkadactyls

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Wade Barrett (c) vs. The Miz

Um, this should be good. This match so last minute and now the pre show match, that I just can't see a title change.

Winner and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Wade Barrett

  • Bruno Sammartino (being inducted by Arnold Schwarzenegger)
  • Bob Backlund (being inducted by Maria Menounos)
  • Mick Foley (being inducted by Terry Funk)
  • Trish Stratus (being inducted by Stephanine McMahon)
  • Booker T
  • Donald Trump (being inducted by Vince McMahon)

ROH World Heavyweight Championship
Kevin Steen (c) vs. Jay Briscoe

This match is intriguing. The setup pretty much is simple. Steen is the evil son of a bitch trying to take over, Briscoe is one of the ROH originals. There are two ways to look at this, Briscoe wins and makes history OR Steen retains and goes on to face Adam Cole at Border Wars.

Winner and still ROH World Heavyweight Champion: Kevin Steen

ROH World Television Championship
Matt Taven (c) vs. Adam Cole vs. Matt Hardy

Unless S.C.U.M. gets involved, which is entirely possible, I don't see a title change at all. I do expect Truth Martini to get involved though.

Winner and stll ROH World Television Champion: Matt Taven

ROH World Tag Team Championship
reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) vs. The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards)

It took a few months but finally a straight up match between these two teams. This will be the show stealer. These is zero doubt in my mind here.

Winners and NEW ROH World Tag Team Champions: The American Wolves

#1 Contenders Match
Jay Lethal vs. Michael Elgin

I'm curious on something with this match. When does the winner get his shot? Best in the World? I ask because if it was at Border Wars I would say Elgin would get his rematch on Canadian soil. But since Adam Cole is getting that shot so let's go with

Winner and #1 Contender to the ROH World Heavyweight Championship: Jay Lethal

Roderick Strong vs. Karl Anderson

Honestly I'm not in the know so I don't have a clue who Anderson is. That being said I've heard good things. But I can't go with the unknown.

Winner: Roderick Strong

ACH & Tadarias Thomas vs. QT Marshall & ???

Well this really depends on the partner. Is it someone new and tough which will lead to a new tag team Will it be RD Evans and that means he'll take the pin. But since ACH is getting at TV title shot at the TV tapings, I expect the push here.

Winners: ACH & Tadarias Thomas

Honor vs. SCUM-10 Man War
Team ROH (BJ Whitmer, Mark Briscoe, Mike Mondo, Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander) vs. SCUM (Jimmy Jacobs, Cliff Compton, Rhett Titus, Jimmy Rave and Rhino)

For this match, I think it's simply too soon for S.C.U.M. to lose so it makes my pick easier.

Winners: S.C.U.M.
