Wow. Was that a Top 11 results or a finale prelude? They decided to let the Idols sing in duets and group performances together instead of one big group. This sounded like alot of fun...especially since it lead to the results.
Scotty & Lauren-I Told You So
Amazing duet that I didn't see coming at all. Can we get more duest like that from them?
Results: Both Safe
Ford Commerical (Kryponite)
Very cool. Best video of the year so far.
Naima & Jacob-Solid
She is great, he annoys me. Good for what it was.
Results: Jacob-Safe, Naima-Bottom 3
Pia, Thia & Haley-Teenage Dream
I still don't like Haleyand she jsut didn't fit with these two. But I love this song so it passed for that reason alone.
Results: Pia-Safe, Thia-Bottom 3, Haley-Safe
James, Stefano, Casey and Paul-Band on the Run
This really felt like good friends putting together a band and having fun. Very different for this show. Something you see on tour, not on the show.
Results: Opening for Aerosmith
Real Results: Casey-Safe, James-Safe, Stefano-Safe, Paul-Bottom 3
Bottom Three:
Naima, Thia and Paul
Going Home:
Naima & Thia

American Idol-Top 11 Redux (3/30/11)
And we do it again. Top 11 is back together after that save last week and now it's time for Elton John week. On paper I thought it was going to be a weak show, but to be honest it was a nice surprise. Let's get into it, there's alot of performances...
Scotty
Song: Country Comfort
Blake: He can do no wrong and is sooo sweet to his grandma. Of course he'd find the ONE Elton country song. Very awesome!
Rating (out of 5): *****
Mandy: Scotty could be on the radio right now. Can Josh Turner and him duet on the finale? And love a boy who loves Grandma.
Namia
Song: I'm Still Standing
Blake: Totally original take on this song going reggae. Very risky. I really enjoyed it. It was different.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: Naima gave due to my favorite Elton John song. The reggae was fresh and she knows who she is. She know what Miltown swag is!
Paul
Song: Rocket Man
Blake: This is a fitting song for him. And I like him better when he's not running around. But this wasn't good for me. I just don't like his voice at all.
Rating (out of 5): **1/2
Mandy: Minus the horrendous outfit, this was a great night for Paul. I still am not a huge fan, but he's not as bad as the outfit.
Pia
Song: Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
Blake: I really liked that performance. One of my favorite Elton songs. Well done.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: Pia was absoultely amazing. She looked good, sounded good and I can't say anything else except I want to be her in my next life.
Stefano
Song: Tiny Dancer
Blake: This was better than I expected. I enjoyed it alot. Very nice.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: I could totally break him, but I'm on the Stefano bandwagon. Yum! Great job, but he and Pia still need to hook it up.
Lauren
Song: Candle in the Wind
Blake: Tough song to sing. She did a beautiful job. It's like she was telling the story. Wonder if she was actually singing to someone herself?
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Mandy: Lauren looked and sounded beautiful. I love that she is multi-faceted and has different sides to her and still has that spunk.
James
Song: Saturday Night's Alright
Blake: This felt very karaoke for me and I know he's better than this. Loved the fact that he started in the crowd, it got very gimmicky with the fire on the piano though.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Mandy: James was entertaining, but I think that's more important than the singing to him. I think he's getting cocky ala Adam Lambert.
Thia
Song: Daniel
Blake: I never knew the name of this song before. This could have been boring but it turned out really nice. She looked like she was about to cry at the end. Well done.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: Thia is gorgeous, has a gorgeous voice, but there is no visible personality to back it up. She's to the point of boredom.
Casey
Song: Your Song
Blake: This new look makes him look so much younger. That was beautiful. That was his best performance and one of the best of the night. Amazing. More of this Casey please!
Rating (out of 5): *****
Mandy: I happen to like big guys with beards, so my heart is with Casey. SO glad he was saved. This performance proved why he was.
Jacob
Song: Sorry Seems to Be The Hardest Word
Blake: Am I the only one who doesn't like him? Too church like for me. I don't like his voice. Kind of boring for me. Blah is the easiest word for me.
Rating (out of 5): **1/2
Mandy: Jacob...ugh. Same act, different week. He looks like he always in pain and overdramatizes everything. Next please!
Haley
Song: Benny and the Jets
Blake: Not a fan but NOT the worst tonight. She sang a song that fit her and actually showed personality.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Mandy: Haley was good but not the best of the night. Especially with the Playboyesque moves and screechy screams. Stop trying so hard!

Dancing with the Stars:The First Elimination (3/29/11)
Well here we go, the first elimination of the new season and it only took two weeks to get there.
"Bottom Three"
Sugar Ray/Ana
Wendy/Tony
Mike/Lacey
"Bottom Two"
Sugar Ray/Ana
Mike/Lacey
Sugar Ray and Ana surprises me to be honest. I thought Wendy did worse than him over the two weeks. Mike was a duh.
The results....
Mike and Lacey are done. Well I saw that coming a mile away. He was a bad dancer and no one knew who he was before the season started. No big loss.

WWE Wrestlemania XXVII Thoughts and Picks
In the opening video of Wrestlemania XXIV John Cena said "alot can happen in a year." Ever since the main events of this show were announced, that phrase came into my mind because it fits this year so much. The youth movement is in full effect this year and some people aren't happy, I'm in the middle. I think it's going to be a great show. That being said I'm going to do my picks definately than I have in other blogs and posts, I'm going to pick the match order as well as the winners. Here we go...
Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes
Winner: Cody Rhodes
I've been back and forth about this match. It's really Cody's "revenge match" so it's his to really win. But the heel rarely wins the opening match of Mania. What I do expect to happen is for these two to put on a hell of show to start up the night for Cody to cheat to win.
The Corre (Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Health Slater and Justin Gabriel) vs. The Big Show, Kane, Santino and Kozlov
Winner: The Big Show, Kane, Santino and Kozlov
This feels like two matches put together into one. I would have perfer this being two seperate matches and have the tag titles on the line. Honestly I'll be surprised if Corre win this match. I think it's going to be interseting how over Santino truly is with the crowd at the Georgia Dome. I think Big Show is going to pin Jackson after a double chokeslam.
John Morrison, Trish Stratus and Snooki vs. Dolph Ziggler and Lay-Cool (with Vickie Guerrero)
Winner: John Morrison, Trish Stratus and Snooki
Holy random matchup Batman. I have a question. Right now Jersey Shore is one of the hottest shows in the world, so having Snooki on this card makes sense pop culture wise. But in five years when wrestling fans watch back this Wrestlemania, are people even going to remember who she is? That being said, this is a weird match up. J-Mo, Dolph and Lay-Cool belong on the card, they have been all over the place this past year. Trish is here to show she can still wrestle because she is a coach on Tough Enough. But this being a match makes no sense at all. I hope they know what they are doing with this one and also keep it short.
United States Championship
Sheamus (c) vs. Daniel Bryan
Winner: Sheamus
This seems like a random matchup. One year ago, Daniel Bryan was Bryan Danielson in ROH, Sheamus was still in Ireland. Now they have a chance to steal the show. I think they could. My guy wants me to pick Daniel Bryan to win this match but I think Sheamus needs this win more right now. Bryan will get another chance one year to get a WM win.
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk
Winner: Randy Orton
CM Punk was one of the HOTTEST heels in the last two years, now he's in a match with Orton who has really cooled up gimmick wise in the last year. Maybe it was the face turn at last year's Mania. That being said this could be a great match, especially with the New Nexus barred from ringside. The only way I see Punk winning this match is if there's a new Nexus member that we don't know about.
No Holds Barred
Undertaker vs. Triple H
Winner: Undertaker
This match placement might cause some controversy. I honestly don't think that this is a main event matchup in 2011. I think it's going two legends tearing each other apart and beating each other up. It's not going to be a classic by any means. I honestly don't even expect a great match at all. I hope I'm wrong. The unpredictability factor lowers the importance of this match for me. The only thing I'm looking forward to is where Shawn Micheals comes into play in this match, I am expecting him to superkick both men by the end of the match.
World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (with Christian) (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio (with Brodus Clay)
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
This match is interseting. Del Rio won the Royal Rumble and earned this title match. The problem I have is that Christian has beat him twice, which in my book makes this a triple threat. But it is not, so that being said, I can see Del Rio winning either clean, which would be a nice surprise, or Christian turning on Edge, which I hope doesn't happen.
Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Michael Cole (with Jack Swagger)
Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Winner: Jerry "The King" Lawler
Why is this match so late in my card? Three reasons. The Stone Cold factor is #1. #2 is the fact this storyline has been going on since last December. It's a long running feud. #3 it's Jerry Lawler's first and probably only WM match. He deserves the respect to be this late in the card. It's going to be a quick match, the crowd is going to be happy because King wins and even Jim Ross might get his revenge on Cole as well.
2011 Hall of Fame Induction Announcement
I'm basing this mainly on the HBK factor. He's a legend and deserves his last hurrah in the near main event spot on the card. It's a fitting way to say goodbye to Mr. Wrestlemania for the last time.
WWE Championship
The Miz (c) vs. John Cena
Winner: John Cena
This is the match I would have never expected to EVER main event WM. The Miz defending the WWE Championship against John Cena. Not only that but The Rock is looming somewhere to get involved in this match in someway. To be honest this was the toughest match to pick on the whole card. I'm going to go with Cena, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Miz wins because Rock costs Cena the belt.

The Celebrity Apprentice:Shock Value (3/27/11)
So far this season I've been able to predict the winner of the task before we get to the boardroom. This week I was way off. This week the teams had to make a 30 second commerical for ACN's new video phones. The company specificly asked for a video that pulled at the heart strings and be emotional. Then HOW DID TEAM ASAP LOSE?!?
Project Manager: NeNe Leakes
The ladies went the more traditional route and had Marlee Matlin play the deaf mom of a teen overseas in Paris and talking in signs on the video phone. I was sure they were going to win. they lost 53-47%, very close, but still three losses in a row. So that led to a very interseting boardroom where LaToya and Dionne were put on the chopping block. Then Dionne shocked me, and probably everyone, by challenging Trump to fire her. So well he did. That being said something good came out of this, I've been wanting to get rid of her for weeks.
Team Backbone-Winning Team
Project Manager: Lil Jon
I'm still trying to figure this one out. They decided to go the viral shock route for their video and had Jose play the gay fiance of Gary Busey's grandson. It was really funny but totally the opposite of where the company told them to go. After thinking about it, besides the fact that the adviors votes saw it as a huge viral success for the company, the fact that they had Lil Jon hosting it, giving off the massive energy and that they went second were the reasons they won. I wonder what the vote would have been if they went first.

American Idol-The *@#*$@% Results Show! (3/24/11)
Well this wasn't your typical results show. On this night Stevie Wonder sang Happy Birthday to Steven Tyler, Hulk Hogan came out and surprised James and Paul and then threw Ryan into the crowd, Sugarland sang their big crossover hit, Jennifer Hudson returned to the Idol stage and the crowd almost rioted over the result. Yes folks, Idol has grown up to the point where Ryan looked scared at the crowd reaction.
Group Performance:Ain't No Mountain High Enough
I enjoyed this song, it was really entertaining and just great on the ears.
And now...dim the lights...on to the results....
Bottom 3:
1. Thia
2. Stefano
3. Casey
Okay I didn't see that one coming. Where did this bottom three come from? Out of no where.
Bottom 2:
1. Stefano
2. Casey
This is where the crowd started to get angry. Shock and anger was in the air.
Up for Elimination:
Casey
As Casey hugged Stefano, the crowd really got angry. To point where the censors came out and the sound dropped out for almost a minute because the crowd was cursing.
Then Casey started singing for his life and then Randy actually cut him and the judges saved him. That being said the gloves were off. I think Casey forgot he was on live TV and he started cursing up a storm.
So that means NEXT week it is the top 11 again and there will be two eliminations. What a night!

American Idol-It's Motown Week! (3/23/11)
This has always been one of my favorite weeks of the season, Motown week! Tonight I always have my amazing wife Mandy, tweeting in her comments on the show. Let's get right into it...
Casey
Song: Heard It Through The Grapevine
Blake: Very nice especially without the growling. His charisma is unreal. Performances like this will keep him a massive crowd favorite.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: Casey's got a Taylor Hicks vibe to him. It was screetchy and he needs to shave, but he is an original entertainer. Safe.
Thia
Song: Heatwave
Blake: Nice change of pace! She can sing fast paced music. But for me she seemed confused and like she was getting lost in the lyrics. It also felt like she was distracted by her background singers.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Mandy: Thia is absolutely gorgeous. I was kind of bored and she looked confused. Hell of a voice, but she may be in danger.
Jacob
Song: All I Need To Get By
Blake: Motown is defiantely his sound. This is the first time I can honestly say he sounds good. Still not a fan but I don't want to slit my wrist this week.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Mandy: Church choir, yes. Broadway stage, yes. Idol, no. I just can't get on Jacob train. I actually cringe at his theatrics and voice changes.
Lauren
Song: Keep Me Hangin On
Blake: I really like this. Very fun and energetic. She's fiesty in a good way.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: Lauren breathed new life into this song. I love her spunk and attitude. She's Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood's love child.
Stefano
Song: Hello
Blake: Really good but not great. Very mellow but enjoyable. Could have done a little more and overall not the best he's done.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Mandy: Since Ricky Martin is gay, women need a new heartthrob. Hi Stefano. You oversang the song, but you will be fine.
Haley
Song: You've Really Got A Hold On Me
Blake: She's just bad. The background singers are better than her at this point. She's trying to be sexy and flirt but it's coming off as uncomfortable and annoying.
Rating (out of 5): *
Mandy: I think Haley's drunk. As my son said, she was wearing "no clothes." Please go home. Stop shrieking and growling.
Scotty
Song: For Once in My Life
Blake: Never did I EVER think I'd hear this song as a country song. Fantastic. I want this single. Best of the night so far. Most original by far.
Rating (out of 5): *****
Mandy: Scotty knows who he is and that could be a hit on the radio now. Loved it. He and Taylor Swift would have pretty, talented babies.
Pia
Song: For That's Fair in Love
Blake: I love her voice and she is amazing. I was just a little bored till the end but that's just me.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: Pia is gorgeous and her voice matches. A little boring for me, but she's safe. On a side note, her and Stefano should hook it up.
Paul
Song: Tracks of My Tears
Blake: Still do NOT like his voice BUT this was good. With his guitar he wasn't as spastic so it makes it easier to watch. Might be his best performance of the season.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Mandy: Paul's best performance so far, it reminded me of Cook or Allen. I didn't want to punch him this week. I still want his drugs though.
Namia
Song: Dancing in the Streets
Blake: She made up for last week's eh performance. This was really good and she has the chops, charisma and dance moves. Bonus points for the Milwaukee shoutout!
Rating (out of 5): *****
Mandy: I may be partial to Naima, but she is a full package. Plus CJ clapped and unless you're a Mover, he doesn't care about you. Great!
James
Song: Livin For The City
Blake: Really good. More pure charisma. He knows how to play the crowd. Not his best, in my opinion, but still fantastic.
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Mandy: James is a much more tolerable version of Adam Lambert. He is just enough and I love that. He (pardon the pun) rocks!
Should/Will Go Home: (we both agree) Haley

Dancing with the Stars:The Insanity Returns! (3/21/11)
Writer Note: Last season was my first year reviewing this show so I was trying to find a format that worked. This year till we get to about 6 will be when I get into full recap mode. Till then I'll figure it based on the theme.
Well here we go. It's must be spring time because we returned to the ballroom last night. That being said this is quite a cast of characters and will be alot of fun this season. But here's the kicker this week, there is no elimination this week. Tonight was almost a feeling out kinda night. The total votes from last night's show will be combined with the votes from next week's show and then the lowest number will be eliminated next Tuesday night. There's alot to get to, let's get to it...

Kristie/Maksim

Song: Forgot You (Cee Lo Green)
Judge's Score: 23
My Rating: 4.5
Overall a good fun start. Ralph and Kristie totally stole the show tonight and became massive frontrunners right from the start. The middle of pack is about what I expected. Wendy was terrified so I think she might be able to save herself next week. The worst of the night was by far Mike who doesn't belong in this world and will not last next week. There are way too many good couples this season to survive.

The Celebrity Apprentice:Camping with the Stars (3/20/11)
This week was all about camping. Now on paper celebirties and camping don't mix as it is, and on this show it's bound to be a clusterfuck. This week's show did NOT disappoint.
Team Backbone-Winning Team
Project Manager: Gary Busey (see below)
This might be one of the most disorganized wins ever. Gary Busy, while hysterical and quoteable, is a TERRIBLE project manager. I'm sorry but I've watch this version of the show since the first episode, I've NEVER seen a project manager lay back and through the baseball around when he's supossed to be working on getting his area setup. Mark McGrath and Jon Rich AGAIN were my mvps of the team and were the reason they won. Mark is the best tour guide ever and whenever Jon picks up a gutair it's pure gold. (more of that later as well) Overall the guys won this round and it was VERY ugly.
Team A.S.A.P.-Losing Team
Project Manager: Niki Taylor
Well this had to be the record for one of the shortest boardrooms ever. Niki pretty much threw herself under the bus herself and sent herself home after losing. The facts were there, the men's presentation was better, the energy was better and it's hard to believe but they were more disorganized than Gary and his team. I wish she fought and threw Dionne under the bus. She is SO lazy. I know she's old, but she's LAZY. I hope that proves to be her downfall when this is all said and done.

Gary Busey Lines of the Show: (I'm offically starting to feel dumber watching this show.)
"I know nothing's free but my heart to your heart is free."
"I think they should be used to be looked at to be usable,"
"There were no mistakes made. If there was a mistake made, it was to understand that a mistake is a gift so you just brush it away and achieve it in another way."
"The team I have, everyone is like a different color of the rainbow."
"L-U-C-K-Y means Living Under Correct Knowledge Yearly."
"Like freedom, Facing Real Exciting Energy Developing Out Miracles."
"Yeah Gary what are you doin man?"-Mark
"Playin baseball!"-Gary
"How you feeling about the project right now?"-Mark
"We're killin em! We're killin em!"-Gary
(that was said on a camera video while playing catch with Jose)
"It's like having the best ingredients in the world to make the best cake you can make. It's gonna come out tomorrow, it's gonna be warm and fluffy and put a drop, put a scoop of chocolate or vanilla ice cream on that cake, it'll melt, and oh yi-yi-yi, it'll be fun to eat!" (I actually had to turn on the close captioning to make that sentence make any sense.)
"T-E-A-M it means Together Everyone Achieves More."
Jon Rich Song of the Week
"Donald Trump. Donald Trump. Please be nice to me Donald Trump. We're working really hard. We're doing all we can. It's pretty tough when you're working like a man. Donald Trump. Please be nice to us Donald Trump."
"I think they should be used to be looked at to be usable,"

American Idol-Results Show (3/17/11)
And now get down to 11...one step closer to the concert tour....
Group Performance:Born to Be Wild/Born This Way Mashup
This was good to a point. What I saw, especially with everyone getting a solo, was where the weak links are and who the favorites are. Other than that, very good.
It was very cool to see Lee DeWyze. This is the kind of stuff that should be on the Idol results show, have Idol Alumni debut new singles and stuff like that. It's the perfect forum for them. We didn't even watch the Black Eyed Peas, mainly because I'm so sick of them after the Super Bowl.
And now...dim the lights...on to the results.... (btw, loved the shameless Irish music joke last night!)
Bottom 3:
1. Karen
2. Naima
3. Haley
Another all girl bottom three, Seems to be a trend already.
Bottom 2:
1. Karen-Eliminated
2. Haley
Really?!? Really?!? Really!?!? What does Haley have to do to go home? Maybe next week.

American Idol-The Year They Were Born (3/16/11)
Last night was one of my favorite Idol themes and I'm glad they brought it back, The Year You Were Born. While 99% of the time the contestants make me feel old (I was born in 1982), it's always fun to watch.
Naima
Song: What's Love Got to Do with It (1984)
She started off kinda pitchy but in the end came across strong. She didn't do great but still good enough.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Paul
Song: I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues (1984)
Like seriously, what drugs are he and the judges doing that they praise him?? It was better than last week but that's not saying much..
Rating (out of 5): **
Thia
Song: Colors of the Wind (1995)
This was weird. It was sung great but at the same time seemed safe and kinda boring and especially looking back and seeing everything that's about to come after her.
Rating (out of 5): ***
James
Song: I'll Be There for You (1989)
People in Idol past and future, THIS IS HOW YOU DO BON JOVI! This was energetic and fun. He found a way to make it his own and even played the crowd like a pure rock and roller. He's standing out which is the most important thing. Oh and this also had our first pyro of season 10.
Rating (out of 5): *****
Haley
Song: I'm Your Baby Tonight (1990)
If she was going to do a 1990 Whitney Houston song, she could have gone with One Moment in Time and it would have fit her voice better. This was just bad.
Rating (out of 5): *1/2
Stefano
Song: If You Don't Know Me by Now (1989)
When he started singing I wanted to hate it but it turned out to be really good.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Pia
Song: Where Do Broken Hearts Go (1988)
Haley, Pia schooled you on how to sing Whitney songs. This was awesome.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Scotty
Song: Can I Trust You with My Heart (Travis Tritt)
How can I listen to his voice and then talk bad about this guy? Seriously. This was really good, not great, but really good.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Karen
Song: Love Will Lead You Back (1989)
This was beautiful. I was actually nice for her not to sing a Spanish or Spanglish song for once. Either way she was sing and that's what truly matter.
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Casey
Song: Smells Like Teen Spirit (1991)
Where did this come from? The first instrument of season 10 was used in this performance with Casey playing the bass guitar. But that's not the story. This lunatic sang a Nirvana song on American Idol. This was insanely good. He pulled off crazy really well and really did something unreal up there. I just hope it doesn't hurt him because like, I wanna say, 70% of the audience has never EVER heard of Nirvana.
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Lauren
Song: I'm the Only One (1994)
I really like her, she is my favorite girl this season. This was an amazing performance and really the last good one of the night, made me wish she closed out the show.
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Jacob
Song: Alone (1987)
This is a tough song to pull off, and he didn't do it at all. It was flat, it was dull and there was like no energy at all. It actually brought the show down from the energy leven of the last few performances.
Rating (out of 5): **

Glee:Losers Are the True Winners (3/15/11)
Well this is the kind of show I've been waiting all year for. It had comedy, drama, romance, heartbreak, good vs. evil, great music and an old lady getting punched out by Sue. What else can you ask for? Last night Glee reminded us what makes this show so great so without further ado, the music...
The Warblers-Misery
Can't really go wrong when the show starts off right away with a song. It's funny I actually liked their version better than the original. Plus it set up the Blaine-Kurt romantic storyline for the rest of the episode when Kurt confesses that he's jealous that Blaine is doing all the solos and it's sounding more like "Blaine & The Pips". A
Rachel-Only Child
This was the first of the original songs that were tried out before we got to the big two that were used. This one worked for what it was and was better than "My Hairband". Then again she can sing the phone book and make it good, as the clinche says. That being said, it was the start to a fun ride. B-
Kurt-Blackbird
Kurt finally gets a solo on the show and it's about his dead bird. Why not? It works here. I thought the emotion was well done and it was well sung. It also made Blaine look at Kurt in a different way, finally. B+
Santana-Trouty Mouth
And now let the laughs begin. This started one of the funniest writting sessions ever. She was still angry from last week's fight with Britnay and took it out on Sam. This was funny for what it was. B-
Puck-Big Ass Heart
This might have been one of the funniest moments ever. Puck sang this to and for Lauren to make up for Fat Bottomed Girls and it was hysterical. What couldn't this song have been put up on ITunes, I would have so downloaded it. B+
Mercedes-Hell to the No
Another hysterical song the most blunt song ever sung on this show since Forget You. By the end who wasn't singing along?? A
Aural Intensity-Jesus is My Friend
Onto Regionals, and the first group up. So this was over the top, even for the point it was there for. Sue was trying to pan to the judges and came out with this number. Wow, I could stop laughing, especially knowing what was coming on. C-
Blaine and Kurt-Candles
Now The Warblers are up and their first song was this amazing duet. It was a nice change of pace to have a duet instead of solo for these guys, and you could feel the emotion and love between them. It was amazing to listen to. A
The Warblers-Raise Your Glass
This is one of my favorite songs right now and it was the energy they needed. It was entertaining and I thought it was fitting to see the New Directions gang dancing and singing along in the crowd because the two glee clubs are indeed friends. A+
Rachel-Get It Right
And now New Directions are up and the big two original songs. First Rachel's emotional song was fantastic. It was like seeing our little girl grow up and tell her story. This felt like a turning point for her character. I hope I'm right. A
New Directions-Loser Like Me
When this song hit it's first verse there were probably millions of people, including myself, thanking Glee for writing their anthem. This was the best song ever performed on this show. It was energetic and fun but also told a story and almost felt like a fuck you to Sue and all the people that has totured them since day one all at the same time. Seeing The Warblers get into it was also fun and then the ending was so fitting. You couldn't have asked for a better song and performance for them to finally win Regionals with. A+
Well that's it for the road to Regionals. Now they are taking a month off and then it's time to start off to Nationals in New York. Until then, I'm going to be singing Loser Like Me over and over again to myself.

The Celebrity Apprentice:Reading for Children (3/13/11)
On this week's show the teams were told to make a children's book for four and five year olds. The keys are that you had to base it on one of more of your teammates and it had to be original. They also had to perform the book as a play for the kids. It seemed like a crazy assignment but I was up for a fun ride.
Team Backbone-Winning Team
Project Manager: Meat Loaf
I have to admit this was alot of fun. This guys team has such great chemistry. I'm convinced that Mark McGrath, Lil Jon and Jon Rich are going to be super close after all this is said and done. As for the assignment, they made a book based on Lil Jon as a kid and feeling left out. I know I wasn't the only one who thought the site of Jose Canseco in drag was freaky and hysterical plus the site of Gary Busey as a "special" kid was not lost on this viewer. For me though I GAINED alot of respect for Meat Loaf and how emotional he got during and after the task. He's such a great man and I'm glad he won.
Team A.S.A.P.-Losing Team
Project Manager: Lisa Rinna
Wow, I'm sorry but the ladies deserved to lose after this debacle. Personally I liked the original idea of a book when they taught the kids sign language but instead they created a book about a lion who is trying to find his roar. Nothing really original about that. Also I lost ALOT of respect for Dionne Warwick after her bitchiness toward Lisa and the rest of the team. So what that she came up with the idea. She also really insulted Marlee after all her bad talk about deaf people. I feel she should have went home not Lisa. She tried her best with what she was given. But alas she is gone.

American Idol-Results Show (3/10/11)
The first official results show of the new year and here we go.
First of all I wanna say get well soon to Casey. Not sure why he's in the hospital but I hope he's okay and will be back for next week's show.
That being said let's get into the show:
Group Performance:Michael Jackson Medley
This was entertaining. It reminded me of the old-school medleys from the first couple of seasons. Pre-ridiculous theme nights and pre-celebrities singing in the group numbers. Everyone was hilighted and it was just great. Keep doing thing every week and it will be a great season.
I won't go into major details about Adam Lambert (even though I have no problem at ALL with Idol alumni coming back for performances) and Diddy Dirty Money except that I thought we were done with the random pop culture performances to just fill time on the results show and sell CDs. Whatever. Oh and it was nice to see a very mellow low key Lambert, it made me actually enjoy his performance for once. I think he finally figured out that he doesn't have to be over the top to be a good singer.
And now...dim the lights...on to the results....
Bottom 3:
1. Karen
2. Ashthon
3. Haley
An all girl bottom three? That's a big surprise. But as far as quality last night, Karen was the best out of the three.
Bottom 2:
1. Ashthon-Eliminated
2. Haley
Well that's that. It's sad she went home before Paul or Haley but what can you do?

American Idol-Who Is Your Idol? (3/9/11)
Offically week one of the competition starts now. The Idols are singing songs from THEIR Idols. (Due to a long night last night, I will reviewing this episode solo.)
Lauren
Song: Any Man of Mine (Shania Twain)
This was alot of fun and energetic. She has a good voice for a song like this.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Casey
Song: With A Little Help From My Friends (Joe Cocker)
Song started and I was questioning his choice but complete with backup singers this was really good.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Ashthon
Song: When You Tell Me That You Love Me (Diana Ross)
She did this really well, not sure if it was her best though.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Paul
Song: Come Pick Me Up (Ryan Adams)
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of his. Don't like he tone in his voice, don't like sparatic movements for no real reason. He's annoying. I don't know what people see in him.
Rating (out of 5): **
Pia
Song: All By Myself (Celine Dion)
This was great. No other words for it. Exactly what I expected and more. She can sing anything.
Rating (out of 5): ****
James
Song: Maybe I'm Amazed (Paul McCartney)
I really like how he sang this. He actually made it his own which I really enjoyed. After hearing so many Beatles songs on this show, it was nice.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Haley
Song: Blue (LeAnn Rimes)
Wasn't a fan. Just think this was the wrong song for her.
Rating (out of 5): **1.2
Jacob
Song: I Believe I Can Fly (R Kelly)
How come I don't remember the Idols getting backup singers this early on in the past? This was really good. He's got the voice to pull this song off.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Thia
Song: Smile (Charlie Chaplin)
She sang this beautifully. It was well done.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Stefano
Song: Lately (Stevie Wonder)
This was good. Not the best at all but definately good.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Karen
Song: I Could Fall In Love (Selena)
This pick didn't surprise me at all. This was beautiful. She's got a great voice.
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Scotty
Song: The River (Garth Brooks)
Brillant. This guy is going to be HUGE in country for YEARS to come.
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Naima
Song: Umbrella (Rhianna)
My hatred for Rhianna as a whole, I thought this was good. She CAN sing and rap. Entertaining and fun.
Rating (out of 5): ***1.2

Glee:Let's Talk About Sex (3/8/11)
Well my favorite guest star returned last night. Holly Holiday (Gwyneth Paltrow) is back! This time she returned as a substitute sex ed teacher. That was the clicker for what turned into one of the sexiest episodes in Glee history and let to uncomfortable sex talks and sexuality discovery. That's what an episode about sex SHOULD be about. That and of course songs....
Holly-Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)
This might be one of new favorite Glee songs ever. It was hot and sexy, the words were great and the dancing from Holly, Santana and Britney was awesome. I think I have a little crush on Gwyneth Paltrow now. A
The Warblers-Animal
The setup for this song was kinda lame with Sue telling Blaine and Kurt what ND was up to which led to this song. The song itself was really good. I enjoyed it. They sold it well and the fact that the straight guys in the group (everyone but Blaine and Kurt) were singing to and dancing with girls just made it even better. The one thing I noticed was Kurt's over the top facial expressions which I didn't realize were actually going to lead to a very good storyline that actually led to one of the most uncomfortable, in a good way, father-son sex talks ever on TV. For all that I give it a A
Will & Holly-Kiss
Prince as a tango? It would never work. Unless you have Shue's sexuality, then it works. I also didn't know that Matthew Morrison could hit notes that high. I don't even think that Holly was needed for this song. I think if Will just sang to her while they did the tango it would have worked just fine. B+
Santana, Britney & Holly-Landslide
On paper this performance looks really random. But in the context of the show there was more to it. Holly helped the girls "get their Stevie Nicks on" which led to one of the biggest storyline surprises of season two. Santana is in love with Britney and wants to be with her. But when Brit turned her down because she didn't want to break Artie's heart, I felt so bad for Santana. It's simple teenage rejection but it just felt like so much more. All the way around, well done. B+
Emma, Carl, Rachel, Quinn and Puck-Afternoon Delight
Um, wow. This was kinda silly. First of all let me start by saying the Emma running the celibacy club makes sense but the fact that she hasn't had sex with her HUSBAND after four months of marraige, character or not, doesn't make any sense to me at all, still in love with Will or not. #2, I can't take Puck trying to fix his problems by joining the celibacy club seriously, but I guess go with it. #3, the fact that no one singing the song knew that Afternoon Delight was ABOUT SEX not a dessert made it even more ridiculous. C
Well that's that, I'm excited for next week's show already, REGIONALS! And this time around, they are singing original songs! The Gleek in me just can't wait.

The Celebrity Apprentice:The Circus is Back in Town (3/6/11)
Well tonight is the return of Celebrity Apprentice and since I'm home, I'm going to live blog as we go along. I'm not even sure how this is going to work at all. This is the first time I've live blogged a show with this format. So hopefully this all makes sense. Going to be a fun night.
- Here we go. Just by this opening alone, this is going to be a crazy season. Oh Trump, well put. "The circus is back in town, and I'm the ringmaster!"
- Nene Leakes, you are not EVEN a celebrity! Just shutup now! Star Jones had open heart surgery? Wow, never knew that. Jon Rich is playing for St. Jude? Wow. That's really awesome. "Don't underestimate the country boy!" Well said.
- Off to Trump Towers. Okay Gary Busey is going to get annoying fast.
- The ladies' name is Asap? What the hell? That's the best they could do? Alright we'll go with that. Why am I NOT surprised that Star Jones is going to be the first project manager?
- Back to the guys. Backbone? Wow these are some terrible names this year, Richard Hatch is going to be the guys' first project manager. This is going to be crazy.
- Off to the boardroom for the first time. Can't wait to hear Trump's reactions to the names. This should be interseting. Trump took the guys' name better than I thought. The Artists, Singers, Authors and Professionals with a Purpose. I think. The sing language was cool though. Ohh! This is straight up my alley. They are running pizzerias.
- Back from the break in Backbone's office. This is a money challenge so I totally agree with Richard's idea to get the contacts up and running. Jose Cansaco, you screwed yourself with your little book. You said it, you could have go easy money from some Yankees players.
- Over to the ladies. This should be fun to watch the ladies try to figure how to run a pizzerias.
- The guys are at their Famalia's resturant. Richard is ALREADY getting on people's nerves. Guys he's the project manager, he's an asshole. You knew that going in. So you can't get mad at him for being himself.
- Lil Jon, Jon Rich and Gary Busey are in charge of creative. This should be interseting. Okay this is hysterical. I wanna be the "Pepperoni Profit"!
- Has Invoka gotten hotter since last season? It seems like it. She's questioning Richard's decision to be project manager.
- The ladies in the kicthen are hysterical. They all totally want to call Star out for being lazy today.
- Is it me or do I not want a pizza being prepped by a sweaty Meatloaf? Seriously, what do the guys expect from Richard? He's the man in charge and he's in the kicthen with you at least. That's more than Star is doing for the ladies. Wow. Mark McGrath's reaction to having to actually make the pizza was hysterical. It's like no one told him that they actually had to make the pizza, oh WAIT Trump did!
- Now back to the show. This should be fun.
- Lil Jon is calling Gary Busey a crazy man? That makes me laugh.
- Wow, the ladies' signs are VERY small.
- Okay Gary Busey actually said "Where the pepperoni lands that where the miracle will happen!." If that wasn't weird enough hearing Lil Jon, Jon Rich and Busey singing Save A Horse, Ride a Cowboy was insane. Of course Jon Rich knows how to cause a distrubance, he's a member of the country music mafia.
- Two problems I see with the ladies. There isn't enough energy in front of the store and also Dionne is SO slow on the register. Whoa, Dionne just got into Star's face.
- I totally want to goto the guys' pizza place. Meatloaf is a really nice guy. Lil Jon, Meatloaf, Lil Jon and Richard Hatch keep bringing in the money.
- It scares me the Star Jones has so many true friends. Curtis Stone? Wow. Whoa, he's picking the best pizza and the winner, by his opinion will get an additional $35,000.
- Curtis Stone is going to send the best pizza to the FDNY?!?! That's HUGE!
- $40,000 for pizza?!? Whoa! Curtis picked the girls' pie? Wait, she's closing the doors?!?!?! Wait what!?!? I know they need to make 40 pies for the $40,000 they got for delivery and then they will get the $35,000 for the FDNY pies, but that's crazy. Huge risk.
- Of course delieveries are going slow. THERE'S TRAFFIC IN NEW YORK!
- Lil Jon and Jon Rich are now delievery men. That's awesome.
- Okay David, you should know that your daughter is on set when you called her.
- The ladies are SCREWED! They have no chance of making these delieveries on time with this traffic.
- And we are back. 40,000 for ONE PIZZA?!? That's insane.
- 15 minutes left? "Pizza makes you put on your clothes like you're a fish"-Gary Busey. What the hell does that even mean? Wow David did get his daughter off the set for $1000. Can Jon Rich stay on this show for a long time? He's hysterical.
- Time is up. The girls didn't make it to the firehouse. Closing the door early is going to backfire on Star. That's my personal opinion.
- Alright, to the boardroom we go.
- Star totally put over Niki Taylor's pizza flipping.
- Liza and Star are going at it. This is great.
- LMAO! Gary's cell phone went off in the middle of the boardroom. That was great. Fucking classic.
- Gary explaining his Pepperoni Profit gimmick is hysterical. That is going to be REALLY hard to top this season.
- "What we did better is what we did on the day of the task."-Gary "What do you mean?"-Donald "It means we did better on that day,"-Gary. Quoting Gary Busey is going to be the most fun part of this season.
- Jose just called out Richard saying he was lucky to have such an all star cast of characters to help him out. This will get interseting.
- Back to Jose and Richard. David is now calling out Richard. Seriously, Rich pushed David out of the way, so what? That doesn't change anything.
- Meatloaf is now calling out Richard for being short and pretty much an asshole.
- Okay I'm going to get sick of Jose saying that he speaks the truth. I know he's an honest person, do you have to repeat is over and over again?
- Ouch. They are really upset about missing the $35,000 at the firehouse.
- Men's team: $54,104
- Women's team $115,268
- Whoa! That's a murdering. Star got $169,372 for her charity.
- Awww! Donald gave Nikki the $35,000 from Familia because she was the best player on the team.
- "I think he wants to beat the shit out of you"-Donald to Richard about Jose. That was funny.
- Okay Richard is putting his foot further and further into his mouth. Stop talking shit about David. You are digging your own grave.
- Celebrity Apprentice is harder than Survivor. Of course it is.
- What a shock, Richard is bringing back Jose and David.
- David a delicate whiner according to Richard. Nice!
- For some reason, David is looking at Jose like he's his big brother.
- David is officially the first one fired. Wow, I actually didn't expect that.

Blake: One of my all time favorite songs. Never heard someone sing Spanlish this early on but I really loved it. Original take and sounded beautiful..
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Mandy: She just showed that a Latina knows how to do it.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Safe/Safe
Lauren T.
Song: Seven Day Fool
Blake: Good, not much else I can say. She's entertaining, I just wish I knew the song to really enjoy it.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Mandy: I like it but not sure if America will. If she could sing a song I don't know that well, I want to see her sing a song I do know.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Safe/Safe
Ashthon
Song: Love All Over Me
Blake: Too over the top. Too much trying to be more important than she actually is. And well, I just didn't care.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Mandy: If this was season 3, she'd be fabulous but it's not. And stop talking to the crowd! We haven't paid to see you! The only diva I wanna hear is Jennifer.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home/Going Home
Julie
Song: Breakaway
Blake: Always risky to sing a Idol winner alum song. Just blah for me. Felt flat the whole way through like she didn't know how to take it to the next gear.
Rating (out of 5): ***
Mandy: Really pagenty Sounds like she's competing in Miss America.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home/Going Home
Haley
Song: Fallin'
Blake: Felt like she was doing her best Alica Keys impression. But she's got a good voice. Just wish she showed it more.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Mandy: Once the music hit she was trying way too hard. Jennifer said she saw a raindow of colors, all I saw was brown.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home/Going Home
Thia
Song: Out Here On My Own
Blake: Her voice is beautiful. She looks like Tina from Glee. Really well done. Can't believe she's just 15.
Rating (out of 5): ****
Mandy: She did a beautiful but if anything song selection will kill her.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Wild Card/Wild Card
Lauren A
Song: Turn On The Radio
Blake: You need a real attitude to pull this song off, and she has that attitude. Well done.
Rating (out of 5): ****1/2
Mandy: Her and Scotty would have some beautiful country babies. She's a younger Carrie Underwood with a Kelly Clarkson attitude. She made that stage her bitch!
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Safe/Safe
Pia
Song: I'll Stand By You
Blake: That was amazing. Simply amazing. I have nothing else to say about that. Great way to end this episode.
Rating (out of 5): *****
Mandy: She looks like she belongs on Jersey Shore but she can totally show them something about class, grace and talent.

American Idol:Top 12 Men (3/1/11)
Well season 10 of live Idol has officially begun and to be honest I couldn't be happier. It felt really fresh last night. But since the show has changed, so will my reviews. This season it will have two perspectives. Of course there will be my personal perspective but also Mandy's thoughts from her twitter page that were posted as the night went on. That being said last night, in a rare Tuesday treat, the Top 12 men performed. On Thursday the fans will narrow it down to five men. Let's get into it.
Clint
Song: Superstitious
Blake: I wasn't a fan off this song. I was very runny and not good. He was trying WAY too hard.
Rating (out of 5): ***1/2
Mandy: Clint = Asian Fusion Adam Lambert
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home (B) Wild Card (M)
Jovany
Song: I'll Be
Blake: Caught me off guard in a good way.
Rating: ****
Mandy: Jovany can serenade me any time.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Safe (B) Safe (M)
Jordan
Song: OMG
Blake: Too karaoke and I hate this song no matter who sings.
Rating: **1/2
Mandy: Jordan was auditioning for the Chippendales, not American Idol.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home (B) Going Home (M)
Tim
Song: Streetcorner Symphony
Blake: Pitchy to be honest. Almost felt like he was forgetting the lyrics.
Rating: ***
Mandy: Tim sounded like he was doing karaoke, but I think he has potential.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home (B) Safe (M)
Brett
Song: Light My Fire
Blake: This was terrible. What was that? What were the judges thinking?
Rating: **
Mandy: Brett's version of "Light My Fire" made me want to light myself on fire.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home (B) Going Home (M)
James
Song: You're Got Another Thing Comin'
Blake: Our yearly rocker. I actually enjoyed. That rocked! (Side Note: Stephen Tyler proved why the show will either be taped or on a delay from here on out.)
Rating: ****
Mandy: I have no idea what James sang or what drugs he is on, but I liked it and want some.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Safe (B) Going Home (M)
Robbie
Song: Angel
Blake: Um, not sure what to say about this. It's like he brought the whole show to a sudden halt.
Rating: **1/2
Mandy: I am too distracted by Sanjay...I mean Robbie's nose to find a good insult for the boring performance he just gave.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home (B) Going Home (M)
Scotty
Song: Letters From Home
Blake: Best performance of the night so far! Amazing.
Rating: ****1/2
Mandy: The only thing Josh Turner has on Scotty McCreery is that he's legal.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Safe (B) Safe (M)
Stefano
Song: Just The Way You Are
Blake: This was alright for what it's worth. Seemed like he rushed the beginning. Overall not bad.
Rating: ***1/2
Mandy: Stefano made a great song even better. He's a little street, a little sweet and definitely Italian with dodging questions.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Safe (B) Safe (M)
Paul
Song: Maggie May
Blake: I thought he said "rock out". Just bad for me. His voice just seemed like he doesn't belong here.
Rating: **1/2
Mandy: Paul looks like a homeless man, dresses like a woman and sings like Rod Stewart. Need I say more?
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Going Home (B) Going Home (M)
Jacob
Song: A House Is Not A Home
Blake: This was good. Just wasn't a huge fan but I can see why others would love him.
Rating: ***1/2
Mandy: Jacob belongs on Broadway or in church, but his performances will get real old real fast on Idol.
Safe/Going Home/Wild Card: Wild Card (B) Going Home (M)
Casey
Song: I Put A Spell On You
Blake: I really enjoyed this. Totally different.
