I don't even know what to say. If you told me when the ball dropped for 2011 that on trade deadline day the Devils would be 9 points out of a playoff spot with a legit chance to make it because they are the hottest team in the league, I would have wanted to know what you were smoking.
But alas, here we are, one day before March and the Devils are nine points out of a playoff sport are are 12-2-2 in their last 16. While it's still a long way to go, the once last place team are now on an unheard of streak. They were 27 points back and a major seller. Then they traded their then captain Jamie Langenbrunner. Since then the team woke up.
There's not much else to say. I don't want to jinx anything.
But I will say this on trade deadline day. I don't think Lou is going to trade anyone today. Why mess with the chemistry when you still have a MAJOR chance of doing something historical and special??
I guess we'll see what happens.

Glee:Drinking is Fun (2/22/11)
Wait, that wasn't the point of this week's show to show that drinking can be alot of fun? Oh it was Alcohol Awareness week. Okay that makes sense. In all seriousness, this week's Glee showed the ups (wild party at Rachel's and Shue and Beiste at the Honky Tonk) and the downs (hangovers and puking) of drinking in what was a fun ride. Overall a good show. Let's get into the songs because there's alot to get into.
Rachel and Blaine-Don't You Want Me?
This was the song sung at the party at Rachel's place (of course there was a stage set up) and everyone at this point was very drunk. I LOVE this song anyway so this performance for me was alot of fun. A
New Directions-Blame It On The Alcohol
I don't even know this song, to be honest. It was entertaining for what it was especially since they were all drunk. I have a feeling they all have experience singing drunk. I'm just saying. B+
Will & Beiste-One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer
Okay this was just fun. No other word for it. These two must have had a blast recording this. It was entertaining and made me laugh really hard. I could listen to this song over and over again with no questions asked. A
New Directions-Tik Tok
I've been really hard on Brittany in the past, but this performance was great. Her singing was dead on, her outfit looked just like Ke$ha and overall it was fantastic to watch. Until the purple puke, but hey what can you do? They needed the effect. A

Biebermania Hits Glee (2/15/11)
Okay well after last night's Glee I have mixed emotions. First of all, I still don't like Justin Bieber whatsoever. #2, the sight of Sue is Glee club was actually entertaining and bizzare at the same time. Finally, does anyone even know what a song anthem is? Though I know I'm not the only one who just felt really happy watching Will and Sue sing with cancer kids at the hospital. That moment was amazing. Overall this show can really never disappoint, and storyline wise it didn't at all, it actually feels like it's hitting it's stride as the 2nd half of the season picks up steam. The music this week was just weird. That being said, let's get right into it.
Sam-Baby
Um, what do I say about this? I actually liked this better than the original. My thing is that Bieber is 15, how does this song lead to massive sex appeal? That's just weird and creepy. B
The Justin Bieber Experience (Sam, Puck, Mike & Artie)-Somebody to Love
Did I really just type that? I can't make this stuff up at all. When Sam dressed like Bieber is was weird but at least it made sense because he's a blonde and whatnot. Seeing the rest of the guys do the same thing was just crazy. Overall good performance, but it comes back to that creepy sex appeal and seriously how can I seriously believe that good looking women can be THAT attracted to a 15 year old? B
Rachel and Mercades-Take Me or Leave Me
FINALLY a great performance on this night. This all the way around was entertaining and fantastic. This was a Sue-driven Diva-off to try to put a rif between the girls, well it did the opposite. They took one of the best written broadway songs in recent memory and brought major life to this show. A+
Lauren-I Know What Boys Like
Well, there are several ways to look at this performance. The singing was eh at best. The rocking out performance was awesome. The fact that we got to see New Directions in their underwear made everyone happy and gave a major distraction. B-
New Directions (with Sue)-Sing
Rachel was right at the end of the show, this song wasn't great. It was good. Adding Sue to the mix was great, and having her turn on Will, while predictable to most, and goto to coach Aural Intensity, ND's rival at Regionals, was also well done. The thing I liked about this performance was the fact that everyone matched and it felt like a choir. B+

Nothing Better than Love in the Air (Glee 2/8/11)
Okay so I'm a little late with my Glee review this week. Me and Mandy were actually in the air en route to Vegas when this episode aired on Tuesday night so we didn't get to actually watch it till well today while we get through DVR catchup. That being said, it was a very fun episode. The rollercoaster of teenage love is always fun to watch and to actually have HAPPY satisifed single people in a Valentine's episode was a nice change of pace. As for the obvious romantic storylines, I gotta admit there were surprising moments and not a dull moment. So without further ado, onto the songs.
Puck-Fat Bottom Girls
This was one of the most rockin performances in this show's history. I really enjoyed it, and the twist of Puck falling for Lauren was HUGE. I think I might have found one of my new favorite perfomances of the season. A+
Artie and Mike-P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)
This was a nice surprise. When I saw PYT on the playlist for this episode I got scared but the performance was so full of energy and was entertaining, which shouldn't be surprising with Mike's dancing. Artie is getting to a point where he can sing the phone book and you'd listen. Just alot of fun, especially cause these were the only two relationships (Artie/Britney and Mike/Tina) that were 100% happy this whole episode. A
The Warblers-When I Get You Alone
Live from the Gap, it's the The Warblers! First of all let me tell you that I never heard this song before this episode and I'm not even sure if I like it. #2, I felt bad for Kurt watching his crush Blaine singing to another guy. #3, I just didn't like the performance. It was fun, but at the same time going this far out of their comfort zone didn't really work. B-
Tina-My Funny Valentine
Should I count this? I mean it started off good and then wow, it was terrible. I'm aware that was the point, to over emotional, but it was uncomfortable to watch. D
Rachel-Firework
One of the most overplayed songs this past year, but one of my favorites. It might actually be my crush on Katy Perry, but not the point. This song was actually really really good. It had been a while since Rachel had a major song like this to sing and to bring all the girls in at the end was just awesome. Well done. A
The Warblers-Silly Love Songs
That's more like it. This was fantastic. I love this song but haven't really heard it in a long time. It was fitting song to end this episode, and it was nice for something new to end the show. A+

Super Sunday Late Night Glee Return (2/6/11)
With the sounds of Katy Perry and the sight of dancing cheerleaders, Glee is back. Due to the fact that the Packers won the Super Bowl, Glee didn't air here in Milwaukee till after 11. That was a little late for us, and probably alot of people, especially if you had work this morning. (Note: This is why I think that the ratings were lower than expected, most Gleeks went to bed, DVRed the show and watched it today, either due to being emotionally exhausted from the game or just needed to goto bed.) That being said, the show was an extended editon of a hour and 20 minutes and honestly it didn't feel it at all, which I appreciated. The storyline was actually alot of fun and something different, especially having the football players finally understand what the Glee club has to put up with everyday. Between that and Sue and the human cannon, this was a wild show. Let's get into the performances (not including California Gurls because that wasn't a performance, just a dance number.)
Rachel & Puck-Need You Now
I saw the video for this a couple of nights before the show aired and really loved it and couldn't wait to see it air. Seeing in context was awesome. I love this song, and seeing Coach Beiste singing along made me feel good about this idea. After the song though, I really wanted to see Puck take out someone with the gutiar Double J style. A
The Football Players-She's Not There
Okay I will say, as a song this was fantastic. As a performance I was very very distracted by the zombie makeup. I completely understood where they were going with this whole thing, but wow, it was weird to watch. B+
The Warblers-Bills, Bills, Bills
You know following the show's storyline and knowing that this song was on this episode, I was trying to figure out how the hell they were going to fit it in. Well, it was felt like random filler. The song was really good, can't take that away from them. But this song didn't feel in this show at all. I'm convinced the only reason this song was here was so that Kurt can sing a song and that all the girls and gay men can enjoy their heartthrob Blaine. B
New Directions and The Football Players-Thriller/Heads Will Roll
The halftime show I wish we had during the Super Bowl. This was so much fun. The dancing was insane, the singing was fantastic and overall it was energetic. On a side note, I love the fact that the Cherrios, well former Cherrios, Santana, Quinn and Brittney pretty much told Sue to go screw so they could be involved in this. Also giving Artie the lead was a stroke of genius. One last thing, I didn't know that Finn could sing that deep. A+
