Glee (9/28/10):It's Britney Bitch!

Well last night was the much hyped Britney Spears themed episode of Glee. This is the continution of a trend that started last season with the fantastic Power of Madonna episode, of theme episodes. While some have major promise (I hate to admit it but I'm looking forward to the Rocky Horror episode on Halloween week), this one I went into not expecting alot. I'm not a huge fan of Britney anymore, I liked her back in the pop era of the 90s but that was a long time ago and it seems to me her music just gets kinda worse. That leads up to tonight's show. I'll get into the performances in a second, but overall I was unimpressed by this episode. I didn't like the fact that they were pretty much copying music videos and the fact that I will have to use the phrase later on in this piece, "the only non drug-infused Britney performance of the show", is kinda sad to me. Let's get into it.

Britnay-I'm A Slave 4 U
Okay well here we go for the start. This was the first song of the show as it was because Carl, the dentist that Emma is now dating (that is played fantasticly by new regular guest star John Stamos), put her under anesthesia and boom here we go. I'm sorry but Heather Morris is a great dancer, but she is NOT a great singer. I'm happy she got her moment tonight, don't get me wrong, but this was kinda eh for me. Maybe it was the fact that it was a music video, maybe it was the fact that it was a copycat performance. It left alot to desired, a theme that would continue throughout the night. C

Britnay & Santana-Me Against the Music
Okay I don't even know this song, but Claire pointed out that this was the song Britney did with Madonna, which then made it make perfect sense. While the dancing was fantasitc again, it was another copycat music video performance. I don't watch this show for these kind of numbers at all, but it was alright to watch. The fact that Naya Rivera can totally belt out a great song saved this song from being boring. C+

Rachel-Baby One More Time
First of all, I'm sorry but Lea didn't look that hot in the schoolgirl outfit. I think he's hotter in her sundresses and just being her. #2, she didn't sing this song that well at all. It just fell totally flat to me. Was it a good copycat video to the original Britney video? Hell yeah. But for this show, it was blah. C

Artie-Stronger
Okay this is going to sound very weird to say but this was the standout Britney performance of the night. On a night that had the girls of the show running around in body suits, schoolgirl outfits and leather, Artie dancing in his wheelchair with the football players is the moment I remember the most. It made storyline-sense, it wasn't a copycat video. IT LEAD TO SOMETHING IN THE SHOW! Plus the fact that Kevin McHale can totally sing anything and sound fantastic. Also, maybe it was just me, but it seemed like a great call back to the Single Ladies dance from the beginning of season one. A

Shue & New Directions-Toxic
Before I continue on with the show, I was totally distracted at the beginning of this performance because when Matthew Morrisson danced onto the stage for this sex-charged song, Mandy literally fell out of her chair and hit the floor. After that it was really hard to concentrate on the performance because I was too busy laughing but I will give it a shot. In the only non drug-infused Britney performance of the show, Shue led the charge of this verison of Toxic in front of the entire school, much to the disgust of Sue. But I can't even beginning to talk about this without noting that Principal Figgins' introduction had to be the most monotone, dry, non-exciting intro I've ever heard. I wasn't sure if I was watching Figgins or Knitknots from Imagination Movers. The performance was eh for me. It was nice to see it stripped down and have it done on stage and the crowd reactions were fantastic. But Shue singing Britney wasn't that good, and overall it was just a fitting end to this off-night of Britney songs. B-

Rachel-The Only Exception
This was the closing song and the only non-Britney song on the night. It was really pretty and Lea totally belted it out of the park. It also was a great tool to close the episode's storylines for the night. It was also needed to cleanse the pallet after getting totally ODed on Britney songs. A

Dancing with the Stars The Performance Recap (9/27/10)

After getting through this week's show (delayed in WI due to the Packers/Bears game last night), I've decided I'm going to shorten my recaps and get right to the points.

Best Performance:Jennifer & Derek
Worst Performance:Michael & Chelsie
Surprisingly Good:The Situation & Karina
Biggest Disappointment:Brandy & Maksim
Most Improved:Margaret & Louis

Overall a very very good show. If Michael Bolton stays on this show after that performance, especially after Tom was very blunt with "We have a three?!?!", I'm convinced there's a web site helping bad performers advance much like on Idol. That's all I've got this week.

American Idol New Judging Panel

A couple of days ago Fox offically announced  the new panel for American Idol. To be honest, I'm less than impressed.

Randy Jackson-The dawg is back. The only returning judge and really, outside of Ryan, the only surviving enity of the original show. It's going to be nice to see at least one familar face.

Jennifer Lopez-And in the role of Paula Abdul for the 10th season of Idol is J-Lo? Say what? I almost prefer Ellen, at least she was funny. I hope this works, I just don't see any high hopes. At least she has a music background and is a star in the game. I guess I hope my thoughts and worried are invalid.

Steven Tyler-Where did this even come from? So is he going to be taking over Simon's role as the asshole? If not then huh? I mean he knows the busniess as well as Randy so that makes sense, but I don't know what to say. This could be really good or really bad with no in between and my gut feeling is that it's going to be closer than bad.

I really hope the performers this year are good enough to sustain the show or else I have a bad feeling that this might be the end for Idol, especially if the ratings dip even lower than before. Time will tell.

Glee:The New Beginning

This past Tuesday was the much hyped season premiere of Glee. The award winning show that has been red hot over the last year which new storylines, new characters and apparently as updated songbook. So let's take a trip back to Tuesday night and talk about it.

New Characters:

Sunshine Corazon: Damn this girl is tiny and has a majorly powerful voice. Not sure how she would have fit into New Directions anyway so it's actually a surprising change that she is now part of Vocal Adrenaline. (their new coach Dustin Goolsby made an apperance but really didn't really do much but take Sunshine away so I can't say much on him yet.)

Sam: This was a nice changeup. Seeing Finn discover him was hysterical especially if you've seen the pilot where Shue discovered Finn. I'll get into his song a little later but overall I think he's going to be a great addition to the show.

Coach Beiste (pronounced Beast): I have a feeling I'm going to like this woman. She's a bitch but the good kind of bitch. She's tough but weak at the same time. There's no downside to having her on the show and it's nice for Sue to have a new enemy.

Songs:

Empire State of Mind
I was looking forward to this performance all summer. It lived up to the hype and I really enjoyed it. Plus I really want one of those shirts. A great way to remind people  this is a musical dramady. Plus it was the start of a run of songs that came out in the past couple of years which was a nice surprise.

Sunshine & Rachel-Telephone
Well if there was any doubt that Charice could sing, this showed it. This was how you use a Gaga song on this show as well. Lea was hysterical during this song, and no offense to the original, this is the first time I've actually understood all the words.

Sam & Artie-Billionaire
Mandy wanted to disown me and Claire during this performance because we were both really enjoying it. This was alot of fun and I just love this song. I also don't care what other people say, Artie rapping is awesome and he pulls it off really well.

Charice-Listen
This was amazing to watch and listen to. It's a shame I have a rule of not downloading songs that aren't sung by ND members (outside of Regionals). It was a great way to show how amazing she is and how much better VA just got.

Rachel-What I Did For Love
This might have been the best way to end this episode. It was like a perfect closing number to a musical. The lead belts out an amazing ballad, we see where everyone's decisions let them to and then set us up for the rest of season. Very well done and great way to go out.

Dancing with the Stars:Goobye to the Hoff (9/21/10)

Well last night was the first elimination of DWTS for the new season, out of my bottom three, the one person I figured that would escape the cut it would have been David Hasselhoff. I mean Margarget Cho was awful and The Situation, yes I know he didn't have enough time to rehearse but still, was terrible.

Cho survived first, and I will quote Mandy on this one "She's got the gay vote!". The Situation people probably felt bad for. That left The Hoff, who went out with class, like always. At least the audience is being upfront and saying that they aren't keeping around  the crappy dancers just  because we like them as people.

So now that leads to next week's dances, which will be the Jive and Quickstep. Should be a very interseting week.

Dancing with the Stars The Performances (9/20/10)

Well I guess this is going to be my thing on Tuesdays, be the last to watch and comment on DWTS. I have no problem with that as long as I get this up before the results show. Let's get right into it.

(I'm going to go in order of the judges scores in this entry and in future ones.)

Jennifer & Derek (Viennese Waltz-24)
There is only one word to describe this performance...chilling. They performed to These Arms of Mine from Dirty Dancing and all that can be said is wow. If they gave higher scores on week one, this could have gotten a perfect score it was that good. I actually can't wait to watch it again on the results show.

Kyle & Lacey (Cha-Cha-Cha-23)
I definately didn't expect this dance at all. This guy is a total natural. Plus he's young and a VERY quick learner. There should be no reason why he can't go a far way, especially after last night.

Brandy & Maksim (Viennese Waltz-23)
I was actually a little worried about Brandy going into this show. I thought she did a great job, then again she's got alot of history in dancing and performing.

Rick & Cheryl  (Viennese Waltz-22)
In showing how I don't watch or follow basketball at all, I didn't even know who Rick Fox was going into this show. But I will say, despite a major height difference, he did a really good job. I hope he sticks around, he can make athletes look really good.

Audrina & Tony (Cha-Cha-Cha-19)
Well I don't watch The Hills or know anything about it or the people involved in it. That being said, this is the first time I've ever seen Audrina Patridge and she is actually good looking. As for the performance, it was a very good start to the show and season. I enjoyed it and knew we were in for a good show after this.

Kurt & Anna (Viennese Waltz-19)
Honestly I thought Kurt was better than the score showed it was. For his first live dance, he did a really good job. He's going to do really this season, I hope he gets a legit chance to shine.

Florence & Corky (Cha-Cha-Cha-19)Going into this, I almost forgot there's alot of people who don't know who Mrs. Brady is. Before I get to the performance, her videos are going to be majorly entertaining because Florence Henderson has a MAJOR potty mouth. Back to the dance, very good for her age. She's definately still got it. She ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

Bristol & Mark (Cha-Cha-Cha-18)
Wow, this was surprising good. She was entertaining and actually an okay dancer. As soon as the shyness wears off, she'll do just fine.

Michael & Chelsie (Viennese Waltz-16)
Well, I guess this could have been worse. Bolton doesn't belong on a dance stage and he won't stay long if he doesn't work on his stiffness.

David & Kym (Cha-Cha-Cha-15)
Ah The Hoff. The old man did better than I expected. Either he's going to stick around because he's The Hoff or because he's drasticly improved. I honestly hope it's the latter. On a side note, what makes him so special that he deserves pyro?!?!?

The Situation & Karina (Cha-Cha-Cha-15)
I guess I will just refer to him the way he was introduced on the dance floor. I really badly wanted him to suck but unfornately for me, I have to be fair. He only had 5 days to learn how to ballroom dance and for that reason I will say he didn't do that bad so despite what I was hoping, he won't be the first one going home this season.

Margaret & Louis (Viennese Waltz-15)
This dance was a JOKE. A total one, I think the judges were being nice not giving her lower scores because she deserved them. She doesn't belong here at all, she doesn't want to be here and it's obvious. If she doesn't go home tonight, I'll be very surprised.

The Apprentice:The Recession Edition

It's ironic that The Apprentice started up on Thursday night with this recession themed season and then pretty much right after the replay aired over the weekend, President Obama officially declared the recession was over. But hey the show is filmed in advance, but it's just weird timing.

Anywho, onto to the new season. I've never watched the original Apprentice when the show first debuted. It just didn't spark my interest at the time and just seemed very over-hyped. I did get into the Celebrity editions over the last couple of years and actually learned alot of business. Now I'm older and am very interested in the corporate world and I figured I'd give this season a shot.

While, much like Big Brother, it's way too early to start analyzing the people on the show and even picking a winner, I can talk about the teams early on. It's guys vs. girls.

First there are the guys, Team Octane. They won the first challenge. I'm not sure if I like these guys yet. They are all so cocky and while some of them I really feel  bad for, it might take a while for me to really like any of them.

Then there are the ladies, Team Fortitude. Wow, these women are going to make this show totally worth watching. What a bunch of back-stabbing bitches. First challenge, they hadn't even officially lost yet and they were throwing each other under the bus already. Wow, it's fucking insane.

Definitely a slow start, even though it was a LONG two hour premiere. I will definitely keep up with the season as it continues and hopefully will be able to give better analysis as I get to know the people better.

Big Brother:Nice Guys Finish First

It's amazing what a difference a summer makes. In a season of Big Brother that didn't go over well with hardcore fans but was the highest in the ratings, the three nicest guys, the weirdest alliance in probably reality TV history, came down to the end of the show.

Instead of recapping the whole two hours, I will just make a few comments.

I will actually miss Enzo. At first he got on my nerves but as the season I started to love the guy, reminded me of being back in Jersey. Plus his one liners were so out of no where and even when he wasn't trying he was hysterical. Also I never thought I'd watch a full show where a guy would opening call himself Meow Meow all summer.

I wanted Lane to win and he almost pulled it off. I saw alot of me in Lane when it came to just being a big loveable strong teddy bear. I'm not nearly as dumb as he is but still, his stupidity and lack of brain cells made for some great TV. The Beast has his moments and was entertaining. Also I hope him and Britney end up together, they could be adorable.

Finally the winner, by an extremely close 4-3 score, was The Animal, Hayden. This guy won more competitions that anyone since Danielle back in I wanna say Season 10. He deserved to win based on that alone. I think he played his game perfectly and used everything and everyone to his advantage. Arguably the nicest guy to ever win this show.

So that's it for Season 12. A wild summer, a good ride. But when Big Brother ends, that means the fall season begins.

2010 Fall Preview-Final Analysis

After much more reading and research on this coming season and shows, wow I'm actually really looking forward to TV this year for the first time in a long while. So for a final analysis on the new fall season, I'll take it day by day on the schedule. There's alot of excitement, even for shows I don't watch.

Mondays
NBC
I'll start with the network that needs to gain alot of ground after last year's awful Jay Leno experiment. First smart move is bringing back the wildly popular show Chuck as a fall show instead of a spring replacement. In a wise move also then have completed the night with new dramas, The Event and Chance. I think this is a brilliant move. While CBS mostly concentrates on comedy and ABC has it's reality money maker, competing against FOX's drama block is the way to go.

FOX
Speaking of FOX, they went the smart route and kept House going as well as giving their new show Lone Star as fantastic lead in.

ABC
For the first time in years, I'm actually looking forward to watching Dancing With the Stars. Other than that, the network has brought back Castle which got surprisingly good ratings last year. But that show should be fine in the shadow of DWTS because well ABC knows not to really worry about Monday nights anymore.

CBS
CBS made one of the boldest moves of the season and moved Big Bang Theory, the station's hottest show, and moved it to Thursday nights (more on that later). In it's place they have included a new comedy Mike & Molly, which me and Mandy will be checking out (believe it or not we did enjoy Accidentally on Purpose last year), after the powerful lineup of How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement and Two and a Half Men. The other spotlight on this night is the new reformation of Hawaii Five-O, which I still haven't fully decided if I want to get into yet. I really have to make that decision soon because the show starts on Monday night. Overall CBS is taking a risk moving their hottest show but hopefully Mike & Molly sticks around and helps continue the popularity of this comedy block. As for Hawaii Five-O, well I guess let the ratings speak for themselves and see what happens.

The CW
I almost completely forgot about this network in general, I never watch it anymore. They did what they had to do, they kept their two biggest shows on the air in 90210 and Gossip Girl.

Tuesdays
FOX
Last year at this time, there was questions if FOX could even have a competitive schedule on Tuesday night during the Fall till American Idol started in the springtime. Well that was before the Glee phenomenon happened. Now one of the hottest shows on TV is leading FOX's lineup on Tuesdays. Do I even have to tell you where my TV will be on Tuesday nights? As for the rest of the lineup, they have put two new comedies, Raising Hope and Running Wilde to closeout the block. I've heard shaky reviews on both shows, but am definitely intrigued by Hope, so I will be giving it a chance.

The CW
To be honest I didn't even know that One Tree Hill was still on the air till about a half hour ago when I was reading that CW renewed it for this season. That's cool for them, it is a very popular show. Following it is also the returning Life Unexpected.

ABC
Other than the DWTS Results Show, ABC is premiring two new dramas No Ordinary Family and Detroit 1-8-7. I guess that's a smart move, I just don't know if people are really going to care as much because there are sooo many drama and dramadies on Tuesdays nights as it is. I hope I am wrong.

CBS
Tuesday night=NCIS night on CBS. Both the original series and the Los Angeles editions have returned back to the back. And rounding out the block, the same way it did last year is the returning show The Good Wife. CBS is playing is very smart and safe on this night.

NBC
This is a huge night for this network now. The popularity of The Biggest Loser and Parenthood have made NBC a real force to reckoned with on Tuesday nights, which is why they kept their block perfectly intact this year.

Wednesdays
ABC
If CBS has their comedy block on Mondays, ABC has taken back Wednesday nights. The no surprise return of the Emmy winning Modern Family is the spark of the block as well as the returning The Middle and Cougar Town. The one new edition to the group is the new comedy Better Than You. After the comedies there is the new show The Whole Truth. It's always good to see ABC back on the map for comedies, especially since they were the start of the rebirth back in the TGIF/Must See TV era.

NBC
I don't care how good the new show Undercovers is but NBC is really going to kicking itself for not taking the opportunity to literally have a solid all Law & Order night. It would have given the original series the proper chance to sign off and then given a proper lead-in to SVU and the new branch Los Angeles.

CBS
I'm starting to get convinced that there is nothing that will get Survivor canceled and nothing will be able to follow Criminal Minds in the lineup. Every year they try and fail, this year's attempt is a show called The Defenders, hopefully it has better luck then shows in the past.

The CW
Well I have to say it's refreshing to hear rave reviews about a show on The CW. The show is questions is the new dramedy Hellcats which premiered last week after the new season America's Next Top Model, another show that will never go away. CW might have something going, if they don't mess it up like they always do.

FOX
First of all, didn't Hell's Kitchen JUST end? I mean I'm not complaining at all, but the last season just ended last a month of so ago and the new season is already starting on Wednesday night. I guess this is FOX's way of keeping a Gordan Ramsey show on the air all year round. Before Hell's, they have put the returning Lie to Me, which got surprisingly high ratings last year in this very time-slot, so here's hoping it happens again.

Thursdays
NBC
This has been NBC's money night for years and with the returning Community, 30 Rock and The Office, it should be no different. (Side note, I'm actually going to have to watch 30 Rock for the first time because of their big live episode.) The new comedy on the block this year is a show called Outsourced, which could be really good or really terrible. I'm not sure which yet. The one major surprise for me is The Apprentice coming back with no celebrities for the first time in a few years, and I think I'm actually going to check it out this season.

The CW
I might as well just get this out the way. The vampire craze continues in this country with the returning Vampire Diaries as a lead-in for the new show, that's more than likely would be destined to fail if on other network, Nikita.

FOX
This night was a gimmie for FOX. Complete against comedy blocks with popular dramas Bones and Fringe. Very simple.

ABC
Now that Lost is off the air, ABC needed a new drama to fill as the lead-in for returning favorites Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. That risky honor went to the new show My Generation which should, if ABC gives it a proper chance, fills the open vacancy on this network very nicely.

CBS
As mentioned earlier, one of the biggest risks of the new season was CBS moving the mega-hit Big Bang Theory to Thursday nights. For me personally, it's great because it doesn't interfere with any other programming anymore. The reason it's a risk is because alot of people aren't sure if BBT can flourish without it's Monday night block lead-ins. I think the show is strong enough to not only survive, but because even more popular. It is also now the lead in for the new Twitter based comedy S#*! My Dad Says which is either going to bomb horribly or flourish to amazing heights. The lineup is rounded out with returning dramas, CSI  and The Mentalist.

Fridays
FOX
This seems to be the one of the only stations that could get ratings nowadays on Friday. They have brought back their two hit shows Human Target and The Good Guys. That's fine for ratings hell that is Friday.

ABC
Speaking of ratings hell. What has happened to ABC over the years? During the TGIF era this used to be the home for great comedy and then 20/20. While 20/20 is still around nowadays they air shows like Secret Millionaire and Body of Proof. There is no turning back for ABC, it's over on Friday nights.

The CW
Well this year marks the end of Smallville on its lineup. (Note: I'm going to have to see the finale because Clark is finally going to wear the Superman suit!) This return presides the return of a rare CW hit Supernatural.

CBS
Somehow CBS always seems to get ratings on Fridays no matter what. they seem to be able to continue that with hits like Medium and CSI:NY. With such good leadins, new drama Blue Bloods should have no problem getting some sort of an audience.

NBC
Other than Dateline NBC does anyone care about Fridays on NBC? It's like news shows School Pride and Outlaw just don't stand a chance at all. Seems like they were just trying to fill the lineup.

(Note: The other notable change on network TV is WWE Friday Night Smackdown moving off MyNetwork and going to SyFy on 10/1. This will more than likely spell the end for the little watched MyNetwork as a channel.)

Saturdays
Really? Are you kidding me? Other than FOX renewing COPS and America's Most Wanted, there is NOTHING to note on Saturday nights.

Sundays
(Note: I am not including NBC because of the NFL and The CW because they just show reruns of other programming.)
CBS
Sundays has and always will be the home of 60 Minutes. That will never change. It also has turned into the home of CSI:Miami. So it's save to say CBS is good. The other show in between is the surprising popular Undercover Boss. (Note: I'm going to have to watch one episode of Boss since Frontier Airlines is going to be profiled.)

ABC
Sundays on ABC in the last few years has been a simple stable of programming that is not changing this year. America's Funniest Home Videos, which I am stunned is still going after all these years, Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters.

FOX
Speaking of a regular stable of shows, Animation Domination will continue this year, to no one's surprise. Like last year it will include the continuing to rewrite the record books The Simpsons (Note: I will like always be watch the Treehouse of Horror episode this year but now I will have to tune into the season premiere because of the Glee cast making a special appearance.), The Cleveland Show, the show that will never go away Family Guy and American Dad.

2010 Fall Schedule

Well as far as this blog is concerned, I will be doing like I did at the end of the season earlier in the year and reviewing shows throughout the season and making picks and posting analysis on them as well. This is more than likely the schedule of shows I will be following, at least for now.

Mondays
Monday Night Raw (Live with Mandy)
Dancing with The Stars (DVRing, watching on Tuesday afternoons)

Tuesdays
WWE NXT (DVRing, watching on Wednesdays, till it goes off the air)
Glee (watching with Mandy, maybe Claire and Mike)
Raising Hope (DVRing, hopefully get into it with no problems, probably get pushed to a cleaning day around the house)
Dancing with The Stars (DVRing, watching on Wednesday mornings)

Wednesdays
Hells Kicthen (watching with Mandy and more than likely UJ)

Thursdays
Big Bang Theory (watching with Mandy)
$#*! My Dad Says (watching or DVRing)
Outsourced (DVRing, hopefully get into, same as Raising Hope)
TNA Impact (DVRing, watch on Fridays)

Fridays
WWE Friday Night Smackdown (watching/DVRing)

I think that's a good array of shows this Fall season and I'm looking forward to it.

Finally...the wait is over

Back in July my New Jersey Devils signed forward Ilya Kovakchuk to a 17 year contract and it was a major landmark day in the history of the team. But then the NHL overruled the deal and then an arbitrator ruled on the side of the NHL and then we were all, the team, Kovi and the fans, back at square one.

Yesterday that all changed, the Devils FINALLY got their man at $100 million over 15 years. The contract is  going to end up being the last of it's kind because the NHL has now put in new rules for cap hits on long lengthy contracts in the future. (Something that I will NOT be going into because the CBA is WAY too confused for me to get into.)

Now with 6.7 cap hit on the team, which still isn't bad, Lou has to make a deal to shed some cap space. As of this morning the Devils are 3.8 million over the cap, they have until opening day to shed some space. I'm looking at the roster on CapGeek.com and think I know a way to shed some space.

The scenario I see that would work the best would be to trade Dainius Zubrus (3.4 hit) and Andy Greene (737,500) and get some future draft picks, even low ones. Then you just trust John MacLean because he know the farm system guys and bring some cheer AHL player to fill the void.

But alas, I'm not Lou, he's the mastermind behind pulling stuff like this off. We will see what happens.

NXT Shocker

Well, I spent the other day writing a post about the NXT Season 3 rookie divas.

The one Diva that intriged me was Aloisia, the 6'9" amazon that I was wondering would look like in the ring. Well as of last night, that won't be happening because Aloisia was fired from WWE and now they need to find a replacement Diva for season 3.

You know this is not exactly the start to an iffy season I expected at all, I hope they have a good replacement because the one wild card that was going to get iffy fans to check in with the show is now gone.

WWE, I hope you know what you're doing.

Big Brother-And then there was four...

The Final Four:

Lane (HOH-1x, POV-0)
Britney (HOH-1x, POV-3x)
Enzo (HOH-0, POV-1x)
Hayden (HOH-2x, POV-0)

Well this is a very intriguing Top 4. Honestly I think it can go either way this point. Here are my thoughts:

If Hayden wins HOH
Nominates: Britney & Lane

If Britney wins HOH
Nominates: Enzo & Hayden

If Enzo with HOH
Nominates: Britney & Hayden

That being said it's going to come down to the POV. But overall we go into the final week of competition on the show, this will get very interesting.

Ragan
This man earned his right to be here. He finally woke up and played the game hard and even figured out The Brigade when no one else was able to figure it out. I think his vote will either goto Lane or Britney if they make it to the Final 2.

Dancing with the Stars-Fall 2010 Celebrities

Over the weekend the list came out for the Dancing with the Stars celebrities for the new season. While I really don't watch the show that often, it's definitely something worth going through because the list is so random like it always is.

Michael Bolton
Say what? I didn't even know he was still alive or even relevant in 2010. Does anyone under the age of 25 even know who he is? I would love to hear the explanation of his bio for younger audience. This one is a total joke, it has to be.

Margaret Cho
Wow, I don't even know what to say on this one. She has no experience in dance so at least that'll be fun to watch, as a train wreck. No idea what to make of this one.

Rick Fox
Ah the first athlete of this bunch. He should alright on the show, he does have an athletic background and shouldn't have a problem lasting a while on the show.

Jennifer Grey
She might be worth watching the show for. She has the experience so as long as she doesn't get injured there should be no problem with her going very far on this show. She's also going to be a major fan favorite.

David Hasselhoff
The fuckin Hoff! He's never going to go away is he? This could work either way. He will either be very good or very bad, no in between. But at the same time, it won't matter. He has the fan support.

Florence Henderson
Mrs. Brady!!! She's so well known, for anyone over 18. It just seems like she's bored lately so this will keep her occupied for the time being. It works for what it is. People love her, end of story.

Kyle Massey
I had to actually look this guy up because I didn't know who he was. He's from That's So Raven and then I realized he's from The Electric Company. That being said, this kid CAN dance. He has the ability to actually steal the show a few weeks at a time.

Brandy Norwood
BRANDY!?!? I haven't heard that name is years, outside of a Glee reference a few months ago. She has a background in dance from her music video days so she should be fine. I just wonder how many people truly remember her.

Mike Sorrentino
Are you serious? The Situation? This is ABC's desperate plea to get a young audience this year. And it's going to work. I don't know anything about him at all except Jersey Shore, so maybe he'll surprise people. Or maybe not.

Kurt Warner
And this year's retired football player. At least Warner is still in shape and has moves from all his years in the league. I don't see him being like Emmit Smith but he should do a fine job.

WWE NXT Season 3 Preview

Last night WWE announced that the next season of NXT will be all divas. It's definitely very intriguing. So let's look at the six girls and their pros that make up season 3.

AJ Lee (Pro:Primo)
First of all, Primo as a pro? Just seems very random. This is one of the girls I've actually heard about before. From what I've read she's very good in the ring and fast. She also won the title of "Queen of FCW" in the past. From reports it seems like she's an early frontrunner.

Naomi (Pro:Kelly Kelly)
Kelly was the first pro announced on NXT and it was a surprise to be honest. As for Naomi, she's a former Orlando Magic cheerleader and really athletic. She is also currently the reigning and first FCW Divas Champion.

Maxine (Pro:Alica Fox)
Were all the good Diva wrestler busy or something? Alica Fox as a pro? That's a total joke. As for Maxine, they really didn't describe her wrestling or athletic background last night and there are no reports or bios anywhere about her, so I don't really know what to expect.

Aksana (Pro:Goldust)
This pairing made me laugh a little, but at least it give Goldust something to do right now. Besides he's been around the business for a long time and is a second generation wrestler. This girl according to reports has been a manager down in FCW and just recently started to wrestle. So it seems like she's a legit rookie.

Jamie Keyes (Pro:The Bella Twins)
Seriously, the Bellas as pros? How much wrestling experience do they really have? I guess fine, Laycool will be busy right now, might as well do something with the Bellas especially since there are no guest hosts on the schedule for awhile. As for their rookie, she was actually the ring announcer for season two of NXT. As for experience in the ring, it seems she's also a legit rookie because I can't find anything on her before 2010.

Aloisia (Pro:Vickie Guerrero)
Again, this gives Vickie something different to do. Not sure what she can really add as a wrestling coach, but she's definitely got the heel heat on the mic. As for Aloisia, what can I say? She's 6'9 and I'm not even making that up. She's fuckin huge. Um yeah, I hope she's good in the ring. I don't know what else to say. She kinda took everyone by surprise last night during the show.

WWE NXT (8/31/10)-The Finale

Well I'm shocked, I actually got one right! Woo-hoo!

Last night was the finale of season two of WWE NXT. With it came a fun show to watch to be honest.

First of all, I liked the fact that having Alex Riley win the triple threat match left you with unpredictability. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect after that match.

Second, I loved the opening of show, it was more electric than in the first season. The crowd in Albany was actually enjoying themselves and it didn't seem forced, which also helped

Finally,  before I get to the order of things, they announced an all-diva season three starting next week, which I don't know how they are going to pull off when Sci-Fi doesn't have NXT on their schedule after October 1st. I guess we will see.

Onto tonight's huge show, in order of rankings.

3. Alex Riley
This really surprised me. I figured it was going to be a Riley-Kaval final face-off at the end, but wow I was wrong on that one. His elimination really pissed off Miz, Riley to his credit cut a fantastic promo putting himself over and getting everyone ready for him in the future. He will have a great career, I am sure of it.

2. Michael McGillicutty
Having him in the final two I guess made sense, but I didn't understand it. I mean Riley won the triple threat and even PINNED McGillicutty, but hey what do I know right? As for the final face-off with Kaval, it was lackluster. To be honest, he picked the worst time to cut his worst promo of the season. There was no energy or passion in his voice, it was like he didn't care whether he won or not, despite what he was saying. He's got the third generation wrestler thing going for him, so he will be fine in his career. Just seemed like a bad way to go out.

1. Kaval
Wow, I picked him as my winner episode 1. I really got pumped last night when they announced him as the winner. I do have to remind myself sometimes how tiny he is though, but damn it doesn't matter. My predication is he will goto Smackdown and go after the IC Title or team with Daniel Bryan and win the tag belts. Either way, despite what people want to say about him, and he even won over Michael Cole last night, he did win NXT fair and square and he will have a long career in the WWE as long as he works his ass off for it.
